Care Guide
Keep it beautiful
A few simple habits will keep your Auralie pieces looking their best for years.
Sterling Silver
Store separately to avoid scratching. Remove before showering, swimming, or applying perfume and lotions. If it dulls, gently polish with the cloth included in your Auralie box. Silver naturally develops a patina over time, which many people love, but the polishing cloth brings back the original shine in seconds.
Gold Vermeil & Gold-Plated
Remove before contact with water, chemicals, and fragrances. Store in the velvet pouch when not wearing. Avoid rubbing with abrasive cloths. Gold vermeil is more durable than standard plating, but all gold-plated jewelry benefits from gentle handling. The key rule: put your jewelry on last and take it off first.
Gold-Plated Stainless Steel
These are your most resilient pieces. Waterproof, tarnish-resistant, and built for daily wear. You can shower with them, swim with them, and forget to take them off. Wipe with a soft cloth occasionally to keep the shine.
Moissanite
Moissanite is extremely durable (9.25 Mohs hardness) and will not cloud, scratch, or lose its brilliance over time. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush if needed. It will sparkle like the day you bought it, forever.
Freshwater Pearls
Pearls are organic and more delicate than metal or stone. Wipe with a soft damp cloth after wearing. Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, and chemicals. Store separately from other jewelry to prevent scratching. Never use ultrasonic cleaners on pearls.
The golden rule: Put your jewelry on last when getting ready, and take it off first when you get home. This simple habit extends the life of every piece significantly.
